What Killed New York City's Celebrity Owl Flaco?

NEW YORK: A day after it was announced that celebrity owl Flaco of New York City had flown into a building,   

zoologists confirmed that he had died from a traumatic impact. Additional testing is scheduled to ascertain whether the Eurasian eagle-owl was ill.  

Fans of Flaco all throughout the city, who encouraged him to overcome the odds and survive in captivity,   

are thinking about what transpired in his last hours. Whoever let him escape his cage at the Central Park Zoo a year ago is still wanted by the police.  

The necropsy revealed that Flaco had been in good physical condition and had caught prey despite having no prior hunting experience having arrived at the zoo 13 years earlier.   

The owl weighed 1.89 kilos (4.1 pounds), which is only 2% less than when he was last measured at the zoo, according to the necropsy report that was made public on Saturday.
