Taylor Swift's Eras Tour's 4.6 million views confirm Disney's hard reality.

Following its March 14 streaming launch, millions of people tuned in to watch Taylor Swift's three-and-a-half-hour concert on Disney+ as part of her Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.

However, the film's opening weekend audience stats, while great, are concerning.

When the Sam Wrench-directed and Swift-produced concert film debuted in October 2023, it became an immediate hit.

Athletes flocked to the theaters to see Eras Tour, either because they could not get tickets for it or because they had and wanted to relive it.

In the end, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing concert film ever, shattering box office records.

The movie brought in $261.7 million at the box office overall.

It was only a matter of time after Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour closed its theatrical run that one streaming service would emerge victorious in the battle for the streaming rights.

Disney+ was victorious, and the movie's "Taylor's Version" debuted on the service in March 2024.
