Sophie Skelton, the Outlander star, has landed her next major role in the upcoming thriller Row.
The thriller, directed by Matthew Losasso, will star Humans’ Bella Dayne, Red, White & Royal Blue’s Akshay Khanna, and Before We Die’s Mark Trepan, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The plot revolves around a lady who washes ashore on a bloodstained rowboat, and with her crewmates presumed dead and lost, she must prove her innocence by piecing together her memories.
“An immense ocean appears to stretch infinitely in all directions and yet on board the Valiant, the lack of space fuels paranoia and intense drama,” he said. “It’s an engrossing and fantastically ambitious script.”
“As if filming on water wasn’t difficult enough, throw in a twisty dark alley. “narrative, difficult ways to avoid green screen backdrops, a dedication to capturing the rough grandeur of maritime scenery, and the limits of amateur filmmaking.”
Row was scripted by Nick Skaugan and will begin filming next month in Scotland with the usage of a built tank to prevent the use of VFX.Fans will recognise Skelton as Brianna Fraser in Outlander, which is now in the middle of its two-part seventh season.
The actress hinted major plot surprises ahead of the film’s June debut, telling Radio Times: “That’s one thing I think we’re really proud of for Outlander right now and really leaning into.”- the plots aren’t always what you’d expect.
“So, whether or not you’ve read the books, you’re all on the same playing field.” We’re going to mess with your emotions and take you on a wild ride. As a result, everyone is in the same boat. “You’re in for a bumpy ride.”
